Lt. D.C Nag was one of the chief witnesses for the British Government in the INA trial. Nag was Advocate General in Azad Hind Government, was trusted by both Rashbehari Bose and Subhas Chandra Bose and had formulated the INA Act which served as the foundation for the development of INA. With the help of his treachery the British argued that the INA act was not a valid act and therefore the Azad Hind Government which was formed based on this act was not a valid Government. Therefore the prisoners under trial could not lay claims to the privileges sanctioned to the representatives of an enemy Government.
