30 March 1942 - British News Agency Reuters deliberately spreads false message of Bose's death

AAP Lyons Radio states that Subhas Chandra Bose, Left Wing Leader of All India Congress, who suddenly disappeared from India last January 12 months, has been killed in an aeroplane crash off the coast of Japan. He was recently reported to have gone to Berlin to confer with the Nazi leaders.

Apparently this was planted by Britain to know where Subhas actually was. According to N.G Ganpule, Subhas Chandra Bose was extremely upset by thinking the effect of that news on his mother Prabhavati Devi. A plane crash had claimed the lives of Gyani Pritam Singh and Swami Satyananda Puri who were en route to Tokyo in March 1942 for participating in a conference that would herald the formation of a pro Independence body with the help of Japan, under Rashbehari Bose.
