Three commissions were set up to probe the death of Subhas Chandra Bose. Two of them were controversial and alleged to be only half-hearted attempts for a cover-up. Only the Mukherjee Commission had put in maximum effort. However, the then Central Government rejected the Mukherjee Commission Report (2000-2005). Sahai Commission, set up to probe if Gumnami Baba was Netaji, claimed that Gumnami Baba was not Netaji. However, the rationale behind the claim and the analysis have been strongly contended. The Government of India never published the Dissentient Report of Suresh Bose against the Shah Nawaz Committee report. Therefore, Netaji's mystery remains a "Riddle wrapped in mystery inside an Enigma," to quote Netaji's and India's one of the greatest enemies. Prof. Samar Guha provides a point-by-point rebuttal of the Shah Nawaz Committee and Khosla Commission report in his famous book Netaji Dead or Alive, whose link from archive.org is provided below.
