(Taken from Shyamal Bose's Netaji Sharajantra Mamla (Bengali) There are several proofs that Netaji had planned to go to Russia - 1) Anand Mohan Sahai was asked by Netaji to contact Yakov Malik, the Ambassador of Russia in Tokyo. However Anand Mohan Sahai did not succeed to talk to Yakov Malik. Instead he had to go to Hanoi to contact Ho Chi Minh 2) Debnath Das, one of the key leaders of Indian Independence League in Bangkok, deposed in front of Khosla commission that through Japanese foreign minister Shigamitsu, they had entered into discussions with Yakov Malik. However Japanese military leadership said that they would not be able to send Netaji to Russia 3) E. Bhaskaran, secretary of Netaji deposed in front of Khosla commission that Netaji had sent a message to the Tokyo HQ to forward to Moscow 4) S.C Sengupta, one of the secret service officers in Azad Hind deposed in front of Khosla commission to claim that Netaji told him that he had contacted Stalin and Molotov through Yakov Malik and made a plan for escape to Russia 5) Government report written on 5th Oct 1945 - Subhas Bose had requested the Japanese to arrange for his transportation to Manchuria. Hikari Kikan had planted telegrams of Bose's death when he was in Saigon. General Isoda (chief of Hikari Kikan) was also in Saigon 6) General Isoda himself deposed before Shah Nawaz committee that Netaji had planned to move his HQ to Northern China, near Russian border in order to establish an alternate contact with Russia, and Isoda had explained the same to the Japanese Army HQ when objections were raised from them
